Detroit Tigers host 3rd annual law enforcement appreciation night On Monday April 21 the Detroit Tigers partnered with the National Law Enforcement Offcers Memorial Fund to host the 3rd Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Night at Comerica Park. The night was dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifce of law enforcement offcers, correctional offcers, and their families, while raising awareness and funds for the forthcoming National Law Enforcement Museum to be built in Washington, DC. Pre-game festivities began at 5:30 pm and featured a display of police cars in front of the Comerica Park. The Van Buren Township (Mich.) Police Department Honor Guard presented the colors as Offcer Raquel Reyes of the Auburn Hills (Mich.) Police Department performed the National Anthem. Also on this special night, the game's opening ceremony was dedicated to honor Michigan State Police Trooper Paul Butterfeld II, Detroit Police Department Offcers Rodney Jones and Patrick Hill who were killed in the line of duty in 2013. The test compared nine algo- rithms submitted by six participants, fve companies and one university, and applied them to seven million images.
