36 Law Enforcement Technology March 2015 www.officer.com FIREARMS TACTICS produces plenty of trickle-down innova- tions for the auto industry. The HPF Wraith is a race gun. We can only benefit. By the way, with an MSRP of $2,499, it is within reach of the weekend match shooter—or cheaper than a few Kimbers. The Wraith is a complete gun, using 100 percent carbon fiber in the hand guard and stock, based on the HPF-15 receiver with Geissele SD-3G trigger. Even the buffer tube is carbon fiber. It has a mid-length gas system and 16-inch match grade barrel with the HPF Curse muzzle brake. Now get this: it weighs 6.5 pounds. Badger Ordnance Badger Ordnance went on a diet this year The SIG SAUER P320 uses a modular grip frame and a fire control system that can go from frame to frame. It was surprisingly easy to shoot and already my 3-Gunner friends are using it. This will change the concept of duty handgun in law enforcement because it can go from pocket to full-sized without modification. The SIG SAUER MPX is an accurate pistol caliber sub gun that was comfortable to shoot and particularly cool running for sustained fire. I admit the Benjamin Bulldog 357 Airgun (BDBD3S) from Crosman is not really an LE product, but it is definitely an off-duty stress reducer and one of my favorites from the show. The Bulldog 357 is a PCP (Pre Charged Pneumatic) bolt action repeater that can meter 10 shots per fill. It sends a 145-grain Nosler 357 bullet downrange at about 800 fps, enough for some small game. I got to shoot some steel spinners with it and it is quiet. This compact air rifle has authority. The Elite Survival STEALTH Covert Backpack is designed to hold a sub gun or a broken down AR. It looks like a sporting backpack and has the hook and loop and MOLLE on the inside, making the walk from the apartment door to the car look like an outing, not a call out. with their Tactical Titanium Series parts. They have a new bolt catch, magazine catch, dust cover hinge pin, pistol grip screw and castle nut. I know this will only reduce weight by ounces, but titanium has great durability for a duty gun. Speer Gold Dot G2 Speer has improved their Gold Dot car- tridge design, which includes an elasto- mer filling in the nose of the bullet. The bullet has a Uni-Cor bonding process for after barrier performance. Wait…what? Speer has improved the Gold Dot, the standard in cartridge performance? Yes they have. I'm already getting my Clear Ballistics molds ready. We are talking about a cartridge that remained on the top of the heap for years in performance without changing a thing. SIG-SAUER P320 I shot the MPX, MCX and new P320. First of all—wow, wow and wow. The P320 is SIG SAUER's first striker fired pistol with an internal sub frame that allows the user to switch from pocket
