The FGS allows operators to adjust the viewed image from 100 percent I2 to 100 percent thermal, or a varying mix of the two. The system amplifies available light and thermal signatures and fuses them together to produce a clear image under adverse conditions. It provides unparalleled image resolution in situations where active infrared (IR) illumination is not an option. This system combines an image intensified (I2) tube and infrared (IR) micro-bolometer into a compact monocular. The monocular weighs less than two pounds, which is similar in weight and size to the ENVG. A smaller three-battery pack provides power for helmet-mount- ed or handheld use. The Night Enforcer Fusion will mount on an ACH helmet and will provide: vertical adjustment, flip-up, tilt, fore/aft adjust- ment; left/right eye use; and quick disconnect from the helmet. Its 9mm diameter allows it to be inserted into small openings and tight areas. The StealthSCOPE is available in lengths from 0.5 to 3 meters long. It can generate images of objects and individuals more than 20 feet away in pitch black darkness. Circle 80 on Reader Service Card
