here was no shortage of sights to see
at this year's SHOT Show—a new
Glock, attendees sporting "tactikilts" and
R. Lee Ermey "Gunny", to name a few.
The Las Vegas staple event continues to
be a high-energy destination for shooting
sports and tactical equipment heavy-
hitters. In January the Sands Expo &
Convention Center saw a record crowd
of more than 67,000. National Shooting
Sports Foundation (NSSF) owns and
manages the event. The show's official
blog attributed the attendance boom to
"a $6 billion industry in the last several
years, fueled in part by newcomers who
are…younger, more female and more
urban-based."
Indeed, only a handful of shooting
sport enthusiasts even get the opportunity
to stroll the hallowed aisles overflowing
with duck calls and duty rifles. Nowadays
attendance is restricted to the shooting,
